Connections

Connect external services like accounting, CRM and calendar to CallMerlin.

Connections

Connections link your existing business software to CallMerlin. Merlin can then retrieve information and perform actions on your behalf.

Supported providers

CallMerlin supports 80+ native deep integrations via OAuth and API keys. Examples:

  • Moneybird - Invoices, quotes, contacts, purchase invoices and SEPA payment files
  • Sage - Purchase invoices and SEPA payment files
  • WeFact - Purchase invoices and SEPA payment files
  • e-Boekhouden - Outstanding payables and SEPA payment files
  • Sevdesk - Purchase vouchers and SEPA payment files
  • Google Calendar - Manage calendar appointments
  • Microsoft 365 - Outlook, Teams integration
  • 200+ SaaS integrations - Via a unified API

Adding a connection

  1. Go to Connections in the dashboard
  2. Click New connection
  3. Choose your provider
  4. Follow the authorization steps (OAuth or enter API key)
  5. Test the connection

Testing a connection

After adding you can test the connection. CallMerlin fetches a sample to verify everything works.

Multiple connections

You can add multiple connections of the same type, for example two Google accounts. Give each a unique display name and put them in a connection group. Otherwise Merlin cannot tell which account belongs to which PIN.

Plan limits

Each plan includes a set number of connections (Starter 3, Professional 8, Business 20). On Professional+ you can go beyond that limit at €8 per month per extra connection. Starter has a hard limit (no add-ons).

Connection groups

A connection group is a vault: which connections Merlin may use in this conversation. PIN permissions decide what is allowed (read, pay). The connection group decides which connection.

That isolates tokens. Marketing does not see the CEO's private bank. Mark HubSpot or Slack for the whole company as Shared.

KindWhenExample
ExclusiveExactly one connection groupCEO private bank
SharedVisible in every vaultCompany CRM

After connecting, pick the group in the wizard, or later on Connections.

A PIN without a connection group sees shared connections only. Permissions still matter: a read permission without a matching connection in the vault does nothing.

See PIN users for the choice on the PIN or the default on the PIN group. The PIN choice wins.

Knowledge base: it is account-wide, not per vault. Do not put account numbers or private balances in knowledge documents that Marketing can search.

Removing a connection

Click the trash icon next to the connection. PIN users who had this connection in their vault immediately lose those tools in their conversations.

Note: Removal is permanent. The provider authorization will be revoked.
